UMD and OSFAC hosted staff of Cameroon’s REDD+ Technical Secretariat for training in satellite based forest cover monitoring. The first training was held at the Global Land Analysis and Discovery (GLAD) laboratory in College Park, Maryland and focused on image interpretation and validation of forest cover change. The second training was held in the ST-REDD+ office in Yaoundé, Cameroon during which the participants mapped Cameroon’s forest cover extent and loss for the period 2000 to 2015.  Read More
